Rooting for the LaundryBy Chris JosephPublished on August 21, 2008 at 3:01amBill Parcells's Pavlovian reflex whenever one of his former players suddenly becomes available kicked up a few notches two weeks ago when the Jets released quarterback Chad Pennington. Parcells picked Pennington 18th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft (181 spots before Tom Brady!), back when the Tuna was running things in New York. So when Brett Favre was traded to the Jets from Green Bay, Pennington was given the boot. And so the guy we used to boo and hate lustily is now one of us.
