Jim Gaffigan has milked his pale complexion for a lot of laughs, most notably with Pale Force — a recurring skit on Late Night with Conan O'Brien featuring animated superhero versions of O'Brien and Gaffigan fighting crimes committed by overly tanned villains. Miami Beach might as well be headquarters for the League of Bronzed Bad Guys. “Well, let's just say I'm already putting on sunscreen,” Gaffigan says. He claims he's not intimidated by performing for a notoriously tan crowd, and for his latest tour — enticingly entitled The Sexy Tour — the comedian moves beyond pale humor to a colorful spectrum of topics. "I deal with the hard-hitting issues of today: hammocks, ketchup, bacon," he says. Sexy indeed.

Gaffigan, popular for his role on the TBS sitcom My Boys, is also preparing for a taping of a Comedy Central special later on in the Sexy Tour. "The whole tour, I'm hoping to refine the hour," he says. Miami is as good a place as any to hone your sexy. Friday night Gaffigan will play The Fillmore, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. Doors open at 7.
