We know, we know — you haven't been to Coconut Grove in ages, and other than the King Mango Strut, you can't name one thing that connects the Grove to its bohemian, hippie heyday. Gone are the days of the laissez-faire, anything-goes enclave; at least that's what we thought until we heard grumblings that the old neighborhood isn't dead. Word on the street is that the Grove is in recovery, slowly fighting its way back from the brink after a nasty bout of chain store poisoning and a severe identity crisis. And the movement back to a healthier, greener Grove has some new allies — thanks to the weekly Health and Happiness Market.

The intimate minibazaar takes place Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Mayfair's open-air plaza, providing fresh, organic fruits, vegetables, juices, and flowers. Other soothing holistic goodies include healing massages and yoga classes. Right on! Now you can get your much-needed doses of locally grown produce, healthful coffees (which sounds like an oxymoron, but it's not), and vitamin C-infused chocolate all in one place: the Mayfair Promenade.
