Things That Go Bump in Wynwood

Slightly spooky radio-friendly art hits the galleries.

Rickety skeletons, decapitated models, and a spacey radio science project dial up the heat Saturday at 7 p.m. during the Wynwood gallery crawl. At Albertini Arts (190 NW 36th St., Miami), “Decadence and Decay: A Group Exhibition for the Marrow Minded” turns the eye inward with a bony mixed-media ode to the human form. Call 305-576-2781, or visit www.albertiniarts.com.

The Spinello Gallery weighs in with Lee Materazzi’s first solo act at the space, “In Between Places,” in which the artist has created stunning images of nude, headless models crowned by bushels of laundry and sundry bric-a-brac. Call 786-271-4223, or visit www.spinellogallery.com. Across the way, tune into N. Sean Glover’s discordant “Here and Forever” site-specific installations at Gallery Diet (174 NW 23rd St., Miami), where the artist has wired hundreds of used radios he has been collecting over the past year. Glover has created a constellation from the high-frequency gadgets as well as a model of the human ear’s inner workings, inviting visitors to tweak their bearings at his heady affair. Call 305-571-2288, or visit www.gallerydiet.com.
