Suck on This Show
Youll learn to love Mondays, thanks to Circ X.
Published on May 08, 2008
Once you walk through the doors of Dream Nightclub on a Monday night, the funk of mediocre entertainment will disappear from your skin, and your soul will become awash in an aroma you might not even recognize. Fantastic characters greet you by the door, and from then on, we cant even predict what youll encounter. Its officially called a cabaret and burlesque revue, and each week, a different set of guest artists aims to titillate you from 10 p.m. to around midnight. From the dancers positioned in the sky-high Plexiglas boxes, to drag performers, sexy burlesque, and magic acts its the cure for the common showcase, also known as The Chat Noir Club.
The show is produced by innovative performance group Circ X, which, according to founder/artistic director Diana Lozano, is two parts circus, one part burlesque, a pinch of class, and a dash of trash. We love it already. Tickets cost 30 bucks, and postshow the party rolls on until the wee hours.
