Shark Boy Lives!

This smackdown is all about the pseudonyms.

Urban Warfare Wrestling — that’s the name of the inaugural event brought to you by Urban Championship Wrestling (UCW), the latest contender on the underground grappling scene. Saturday’s melee features former TNA wrestler Shark Boy, tag-team All Money Is Legal, and someone called simply The Drifter, among many others. UCW is under the umbrella of an organization called B.A.M.N. (By Any Means Necessary), headed by a former real estate investor who goes by the moniker “King.”

Essentially, King is trying to build an empire from the top down. He likes the bling and his private plane, but in addition to recruiting new businesses, he also wants to bring a positive message to the youth. “We’re showin’ kids you can live like a rapper but be behind the scenes,” said King in a recent radio interview. B.A.M.N.’s taste for extravagance should make Urban Warfare a real treat. Shark Boy alone is ostensibly worth the price of admission, which ranges from $6 to $15. It goes down at 5 p.m. at the Miami Springs Rec Center.
