The Original Blond Bombshell

The first time you saw her, your eyes traveled from her perfectly coiffed shock of platinum-blond hair to those famous brown bedroom peepers, down to her even more notorious lips, and along all of those curves. From just a glance, you figured her heart belonged to Daddy and that diamonds were quite possibly her best friend. It was no secret she knew how to marry a millionaire, but you also thought it was possible she liked it hot. Relive that magical moment when your senses became acquainted with everyone’s favorite sex symbol, at tonight’s opening of Lawrence Schiller’s photography exhibit, Marilyn Monroe.”

The rarely seen images were taken at the icon’s final photo shoot before her fatal drug overdose, and the award-winning Schiller captured her in all of her vivacious glory. Shot on the set of 1962’s Something’s Got to Give, Marilyn is seen crawling out of a pool wearing nothing more than her birthday suit, as well as dressed and standing over a huge cake lit up with sparklers. See all the snaps while you sip champagne at tonight’s opening at Untitled 2144. The exhibit runs through June 6.
