    Spring Break is Still Awesome

Try as it might, Ft. Lauderdale still can't shake America's die-hard partiers.

    By Michael J. Mooney

South Beach may not be the gay party mecca it was in its Nineties heyday, but there are still a few important dates on the M4M calendar: Edison Farrow's “The Simple Life” party at Buck15 has been running strong for years with its eclectic beer-drinking vibe, and Sundays bring to Dek23 “Click,” a must-attend for gays in search of techno music and haughty attitudes. But Friday and Saturday nights have been strangely void of worthy choices, for SoBe has become the weekend retreat for the Eurotrash set, and the bigger clubs of Broward County beckon the gays north. The conclusion: The gay South Beach weekend has become, dare we say, boring. What's a guy gotta do to get laid on a Saturday night?

Thankfully nightlife promoters the PennyBack Boys launched “One World” at Score. And they're hosting it on (gasp!) Saturday nights, with a cute crowd, fun music, and a touch of class. It might not seem like a big deal, since Score is always a gay bar. But not all gays were created equal. The good ones can be hard to find. Luckily the PennyBack Boys know how to smoke them out. Call 305-535-1111 or visit www.scorebar.net for the smoking-hot scoop.
