Let’s face it. Catching a Florida Marlins day game during the summer can be downright masochistic. No other baseball team holds matchups in a football stadium in the dead of summer when the humidity is at boil-an-egg-in-your-crotch levels. Also, no other franchise has a promotion that features an energy squad consisting of nothing but fat guys flopping around for your enjoyment. (Obese men gyrating under the sweltering South Florida sun? What could possibly go wrong?).

Today the Marlins face the Houston Astros in one of the final spring training exhibitions before the games count. So this could be your final shot at taking the scenic drive up to Jupiter to watch some day-game baseball without all the suffocating humidity and dancing fat dudes. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 at Roger Dean Stadium.
