The Nuts Rock Out

By Patrice Elizabeth Grell Yursik

Published on March 06, 2008

A Pair of Nuts have been making a name for themselves around Miami for a minute now. The two comedians have measured their acclaim in standing ovations at the Miami Improv and by racking up clicks on YouTube for their snort-inducing videos “The Law Offices of Facmee & Diaz,” “Wink,” and “Chonga Chat.” Their humor is influenced by Saturday Night Live and MADtv, and deeply steeped in South Florida culture. Which is why we’re confident the homies in Broward are going to love these nutty buddies.

Lovable improv schmos Yamil Piedra and Johnny Trabanco are crossing the county line tonight for one of their biggest gigs – holding court at the Seminole Hard Rock Improv. Woo-hoo! If you’re already a fan, come out and show ’em some love. If you’re not yet a devotee, you will be by the time the set is over. Tickets cost 10 bucks. You need to be 18 to laugh, 21 to drink, and there’s a two-drink minimum per person. Get an early giggle by visiting www.nutscomedy.com or myspace.com/pairofnuts.
