Pink for President

Spring break is here, and the Raleigh is the place to be.

By Raina McLeod

Published on March 06, 2008

Throughout the nation, spring break has officially sprung, and in case you haven’t noticed, busloads and planefuls of fun-seeking college kids have landed on the island to our east that we call South Beach. And of course, not far behind them are the corporate sponsors -- some trying to take advantage of daddy’s little credit-card-wielding sweethearts, some trying to actually give them a good time while shoving a product down their throats. The legendary thong-shilling conglomerate Victoria’s Secret is in town, and with it come models, celebrities, wholesome games like Twister and dodge ball, and those cute little stuffed dogs. The Rally at the Raleigh will be an afternoon of good, clean corporate-sponsored fun put on by VS’s sub-brand Pink, which hooks young women with its line of cutesy loungewear, swimwear, accessories, and lingerie.

Today from 1 to 5, the poolside deck at the Raleigh will be Pink-ified with a cool clothing customization station, an even cooler DJ, and semicool celebs like Vanessa Minnillo, Brody Jenner, and VS models Miranda Kerr and Behati Prinsloo. Prospective ralliers must pick up their access passes at local Vicky’s locations, from Pink street teams, or by logging onto www.vspink.com.
