Lawyers Do It Better

Nobody sets out to go to court (unless they can legitimately use that “legal insanity” defense), but injustice, bad decisions, or simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong-headed police officer can land you in a whole heap of trouble. You’ll find any number of unhappy individuals in Miami-Dade’s courthouses. Some of the unhappiest are mothers, who must appear in family or criminal court proceedings while worrying about their little ones. Thankfully we’ve got YWCA Court Care daycare programs to nurture and supervise the children of anyone involved in legal proceedings. To support this very necessary service, everyone is invited to the Court Care Reception this evening at the BNY Mellon Financial Center.

Sounds like a snoozefest, sure – but the peppy tunes of DJ Le Spam will keep you dancing while you donate to the cause. Besides music, there’ll be a silent auction and the opportunity to meet lots of hot lawyer types. Score! Tickets cost $50, but the value of supporting this needy charity is priceless.
