Pack up the pooper scooper and your favorite four-legged friend: These are the dog days of February. Today head over to the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-a-Pet’s Purina Walk for the Animals at Bayfront Park. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and the walk starts at 10. If your dogs are tired, skip the walk and enjoy fun for canines and people of all ages between 9 and noon. Make a minimum pledge of $50 to help homeless pets, and get goodies including T-shirts and dog bandannas. For the full scoop, including rules (such as don’t bring “females in season”), visit www.humanesocietymiami.org.

If your dogs are barking for more, head to the Dog Adoption Festival at Amelia Earhart Park (401 E. 65th St., Hialeah) Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for low-cost vaccines, shots, and adorable dogs who need homes. Big 105.9 FM will provide classic rock tunes, and animal experts will give free advice. Call 305-799-1567, or visit www.sabbathrescue.org.
