Everything Zen
Published on January 24, 2008
Many of us made resolutions to become a little more culturally and spiritually aware this year. Perhaps we felt our minds, bodies, and souls becoming numbed and dumbed down with an overabundance of Britney headlines, supersize triple-bypass burgers, and the usual nine-to-five crunch that keeps food on our downtrodden dinner tables. Luckily theres an event to soothe our aching psyches today (and every last Sunday of the month) over at the Wallflower Gallery. The Zen Art Faire has been happening since last July, and now that the holidays are long past, its the perfect time to unwind with some herbal tea and sip some much needed enlightenment.
This months lineup includes a cooking demo by the Pampered Chefs, a lecture on communicating with the opposite sex, Middle Eastern dance by Munirah, and music from Capt. Donna Lange. To complete the experience, tons of crafts, healthy snacks, clairvoyant readings, and other spiritual treats will be available. The fair takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and afterward, everyone is welcome to partake in a vegetarian potluck (try to bring a veg-friendly dish to share). For details, check out www.musicartlove.com or www.wallflowergallery.com, or call 954-805-5992.
