Some things just go together. Peanut butter and jelly. Cookies and milk. The Captain and Tennille. And, apparently, comedy and cigars. Each and every Wednesday night at 10, Aromas of Havana Cigar Lounge will host Professional Standup Comedy nights. The shows are headlined by comics from BET’s Comic View and from Comedy Central, and hosted by Miami’s own “very hairy and very sexy” Tomahawk. Local comedy connoisseurs might recognize Tomahawk from his starring roles in Six Comics from Miami and the Comedy in the Living Room series.

For those unfamiliar with his work, the films are available on Amazon.com or from the trunk of Tomahawk’s car. Recognizing a can’t-miss marketing opportunity, Chop Shop Barber Shop jumped to sponsor the evenings. “They’re the only barbershop I know that was featured in Jet magazine,” says Tomahawk. Head to Aromas of Havana at 10 p.m. (Latin Standard Time) and smoke ’em if you got ’em, or get ’em there. Tickets cost $10. Call 305-940-0988.
