Art That Struts

Among the knock-off shoe stores on downtown Miami’s First Street sits a grandiose stone archway that looks like the entrance to a late-19th-century train station. Its interior is cozy and intimate, with bookshelves, couches, and a seemingly mile-high ceiling. The space belongs to adjacent café Soya e Pomodoro, and tonight at 9:30 it will house an Art Basel Fashion and Art Event.

Miami painter Lebo’s colorful Pop Art cartoons will be showcased on his new line of T-shirts. The event also marks the grand opening of the Factory Clothing Store, a retailer dedicated to hip Italian fashion for women. Local artist Craig Kirk will be displaying his acrylic paintings, while New York DJ Sir Ivan Diaz and drummers set the soundtrack. Feeling hungry?
