Bring Your Opera Glasses

Missing your recently departed Sopranos already? Then get ready for a whole lotta singin’ sopranos -- but without a certain New Jersey mob family. Florida Grand Opera’s production of Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte will kick off FGO’s 67th season with Grammy Award-winning soprano Ana Maria Martinez and mezzo-soprano Rinat Shaham leading the way.
Così Fan Tutte tells the story of two young men challenged to prove their lovers’ true loyalty, but not without the prerequisite operatic mishaps along the way. The curtain will rise for this season’s opening-night performance at 7:00 at the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Carnival Center. Performances in Miami will take place through December 8, and then the production will move to the Au-Rene Theater in Broward for several shows. Individual tickets range from $10 to $250. To purchase them, call 1-800-741-1010, or visit www.fgo.org.
