Tired of seeing the same shoes everywhere you go? We agree -- there just might be a few too many hipsters wearing black-and-white Chucks or white Air Force Ones. Want to check out some really fresh kicks? Head to the Antikulture Gallery today for the Vans “Art of Sole” exhibit. With more than 20 local and national artists, the show will no doubt inspire you to give your shoes some much-needed new life.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m., and DJ Keen One will be spinning all night long while you peruse the creations by the likes of Mike Giant, Ron English, and AS1, among other lowbrow artists. Don’t be too surprised if some of the art looks familiar. Typoe, Murder, and R. Grimes have all housed exhibits at Antikulture in the past, and if Francesco LoCastro’s work rings a bell, it might be because you’ve sat across from his mural at Churchill’s a million times. The event is copresented by Culture Kings and IAMYOURVILLAIN, and admission is free.
