Feel the Bass

Lance Bass touches down on Lincoln Road

Ah, the ups and downs of Lance Bass. First he tried singing, and he was pretty good at it -- he was in that boy band ’Nsync, teenagers loved him, he was on top of the world. But then he tried to be an actor and made a movie called On the Line. It totally bombed, and his group broke up. What's a fallen boy-bander to do? If you're Mr. Bass, you pick yourself up, you dust yourself off, and you get yourself back in the news by coming out as a big gay homosexual.

But then you realize your career has pretty much shot its wad, so to speak. All that's left to do is write your memoirs (at the ripe old age of 28) and dish a bunch of gossip about everybody you know. Which brings us to tonight at 6:00 at Books & Books, where Bass will autograph his autobiography Out of Sync for adoring fans. We’re hoping he wrote all about that time he wanted to go to outer space and held a press conference asking someone to pay for it. That was crazy! His singing career is over and he never made it to outer space, but let's hope his writing abilities are out of this world.
