he gays are planning something. They are taking over the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts tonight, when they are hosting an uprising called Queer Riot. Such atrocities they have in store. Murder! Mayhem! Just kidding. It's just a comedy show, featuring notable comedians in the gay world.

First there's Lady Bunny, who is known for writing hilarious (and often naughty!) parodies of popular songs -- much like a drag version of Weird Al Yankovic, except not annoying and with better hair. Then there's Bruce Vilanch, who made a name for himself by writing jokes for Bette Midler, and has won two Emmys with his slapstick humor and off-color taste. And then there's Judy Tenuta, who is famous for referring to men as “studsicles” and other such delicacies while playing her accordion and being generally crazy. It should be noted, given the sad state of affairs of U.S. politics, that there will certainly be political tidbits thrown in here and there. If you're not offended by all the anal sex jokes, the comedians' politics will undoubtedly drive you crazy. The giggles begin at 8:00; tickets range from $35 to $65.
