So Oktoberfest isn’t your cup of tea, huh? If you eschew the brewskis and prefer to get your fall buzz in a more refined manner, have your designated driver motor down south and take your nearest and Deer-est (add groan here) to the Wine on Harvest Moon festival at the Deering Estate.

The Deering Estate Foundation’s sixth annual fall wine event reflects Charles Deering’s penchant for all things described as fine: art, wine, and food. The foundation’s fall Living Artists Series includes performances by principal players of the Florida Classical Orchestra, the art show “Colors of Wine” (let’s see, there’s white, red, and umm ...), and a juried art exhibit, “Out of Eden,” in partnership with the Bakehouse Art Complex. The fun takes place tonight from 7:00 to 10:00. General admission tickets cost $60, $150 for VIP.
