We’ve heard you complain about the sparse local music scene one too many times. Quit your yapping, put down the Cheez Doodles, slip into something snazzy, and get your mojo workin’ (no, we’re not talking about the Cuban marinade). Salsa on over to Miami Beach for a jazz-fusion concert featuring Jorge Pardo in D’3, a muy caliente trio from Spain that’s touring the United States to present its latest album, 3dd’3.

Pardo is a musical prodigy who has performed with the likes of Chick Corea and Gil Goldstein. He enjoys experimenting with flamenco-jazz fusion (and he’s darn cute too). Tonight he’ll play tenor sax and flute, accompanied by Francis Posé on the double bass and José Vázquez del Sol (a.k.a. “Roper”) on drums. Their distinctly danceable music sports a splash of salsa, and some samba for piquancy. Showtime is 8:00 p.m. at the Byron Carlyle Theater, 500 71st St., Miami Beach. Tickets cost $20. Call 305-867-4194, or visit www.ccemiami.org. Check out the talented Spaniard at www.jorgepardo.com.
