Any footwear fetishist will tell you Adidas are the coolest kicks. Even before Run-D.M.C. put it on the map, the original three-leaf logo was a hot commodity. Just ask local artist David “Lebo” LeBatard. “I’ve always loved Adidas! That and Kangol are the two brands I’ve always really loved,” he declares. Obviously Lebo kicks it old-school hip-hop style. The graffiti-gone-commercial artist’s adoration of the three stripes led to a very fashionable fundraiser. Sneaker pimps, save your pennies for Miami Got Soul, a silent auction where Lebo and Adidas unite to benefit the CHARLEE foundation.

Lebo’s bold, street-influenced art looks right at home on the high-top sneaks we glimpsed. If your wallet is thin, don’t fret just yet. “It’s a democratic system, so people will decide how much the stuff’s worth,” Lebo says. And all proceeds go to the kids. Plus there’ll be 10 Cane Rum cocktails to get the fun started, Vitamin Water to keep you hydrated as you bid, and tunes by Mr. Brown to keep the party jumpin’. Stop by the Adidas Originals store tonight from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. The auction will take place from 7:00 to 10:00. Call 305-673-8317, or visit www.lebostudios.com.
