When American Idol auditions recently breezed through town, the reality-TV fame-seeker you are had a little itch to go out there and try your hand at it. After all, you can out-mumble William Hung, and your hair is fiercer than Sanjaya’s on its worst day. You were prepared to bring your Z game for the Idol tryouts, but today’s competition, Secret’s Show Us Your Moves, is going to be way different. Here’s the lowdown:

“Jenny from the Block,” a.k.a. Jennifer Lopez, is looking for a dancer for one of her upcoming videos -- not someone that America can laugh at. She’s searching in Dallas, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and of course Miami for a woman (at least 18 years old) with enough confidence and shimmy skills to make the MTV generation swoon. So you think you can dance? Show up at Snatch from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and show ’em what you’re working with. And if -- gasp -- you have to actually go to work and can’t make an afternoon audition, you can submit a 30-second video of your “secret hot dance moves” to www.becauseyourehot.com.
Fri., Sept. 7, 1-3 p.m.
