Blame It on the Boogie

Enjoy your Marlins con salsa tonight

After devastating fans by selling off two World Series Champion teams, the Florida Marlins management should have some terrible karma. But the team has had enough cosmic luck to land perhaps the two most exciting young hitters in all of baseball, third baseman Miguel Cabrera and shortstop Hanley Ramirez. How have they preserved the vibe? No one can be sure, but maybe, just maybe, it’s the salsa.

After tonight’s 7:00 game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Dolphin Stadium, the ballpark will host Cuban-born salsa legend Issac Delgado and Puerto Rican superstar Victor Manuelle. If that doesn’t get you moving, you might be dead. Tonight’s Super Saturday event will also include fireworks and a pregame party at Gate H. Tickets range from $12 to $50 -- probably less than the concert alone would cost elsewhere, plus you get to see the Marlins’ young studs before they get shipped off to Boston or the Bronx.
Sat., Sept. 1, 7 p.m.
