It seems like every other day there’s some kind of “fest” popping up. Don’t get us wrong -- we’re not complaining; we love events that go on like they’ve had one too many Red Bulls. We drink till our eyes turn green at beerfests, dance till we forget how at summerfests, and this weekend we’re gonna eat lobster like it’s going out of style at the 11th annual Key West Lobsterfest. From today through Sunday, chow down on dishes prepared by local chefs at the lobster cook-off, jam to live music, and end it all with a Sunday lobster brunch.

“It’s a combination of a street fair and a free concert, with the concert happening directly on the street among all the booths. The main stage is set up right next to Sloppy Joe’s on Duval Street,” says event organizer Eric Adams. And today grab your favorite beer mug for Lobsterfest’s version of the legendary Duval Crawl from sunset until midnight. If you buy a souvenir Lobsterfest T-shirt, you get drink specials at all the participating bars and restaurants on Duval Street. Booze and crustaceans? Now that’s what we call a fest!
