We Want Blood

Give ’em hell, Miami FC

Miller Lite tried its best, but still Miami FC continues to lack whatever would help this struggling-in-the-wins-department soccer club truly represent Miami, bond with more area fans, and make a name for itself in the urbane world of soccer. Fights. Brawls. Skirmishes. The free-beer nights in June didn’t provoke hardly a beating, much less the sort of riot that has made soccer (sorry -- football) the world’s pastime. C’mon, people! Knuckle up, for chrissakes.

Ah, here we go. The Carolina RailHawks, whose very name, made up by some fan, combines railroads (huh?) with the rep of the team’s fans for, um, hawkishness. As in birds of prey. As in war. As in kill the bastards the minute they get the least bit physical on the field. The place of scrum remains Tropical Park Stadium.
