Thanks to the roundly criticized efforts of Gwen Stefani, the world now knows all about the sartorial trends of Japans Harajuku district. But many dont realize that there are many other, equally fashionable districts and styles to be discovered in China, India, and the Pacific Islands. You dont need a plane ticket or Fashion TV to get hip to these imported garments. All you need to do is get to Miami Dade Colleges InterAmerican Campus, for todays Asian fashion show. Presented as part of the colleges Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival, todays event will bring two fierce fashion shows to the flag courtyard. The first show starts bright and early at 8:30 a.m., the second begins in the cool of the evening at 6:00. Visiting fashionistas will be able to gaze raptly at traditional costumes as well as modern designs. The Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival will run through June 15.
