Reverence for the elderly and a celebration of youth line up in a harmonic convergence today during a pair of exhibits spiritedly reflecting the arc of life. The Art of Aging, at the Jewish Museum of Florida (301 Washington Ave., Miami Beach), features the work of 40 artists from the United States and Israel, who through a variety of media examine the diverse aspects of aging, including creativity, vitality, memory, anxiety, wisdom, physical change, and loss. The provocative exhibit highlights “the experiences in life’s journey that cut across ethnic and cultural divides — experiences that build bridges of multi-ethnic and interfaith understanding,” explains museum director Marcia Jo Zerivitz. Admission is free. Call 305-672-5044, or visit www.jewishmuseum.com.

At the Wolfsonian (1001 Washington Ave., Miami Beach), Page at a Time features ten artists’ books created by students from Miami-Dade Public Schools. Fashioned from cardboard, plaster, wire, organic plants, and an assortment of other materials, the books explore a variety of issues ranging from the destruction of the rainforests to the war in Iraq. A Family Funday on Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. includes storytelling, movie screenings, gallery tours, and a hands-on workshop where kids can create their own books and cards. The event is free. Call 305-531-1001, or visit www.wolfsonian.org.
