Experiencing winter in Miami is as unlikely as running into a giant, magical, ice-skating rodent. But the odds of the latter encounter will be pretty good tonight, when Disney on Ice skates into the American Airlines Arena. Couture designer Rene Ruiz and a few Disney characters will host an invitiation-only ceremony, at which they will announce the winner of the “Incredible Costume Design Contest.” Then at 7:30 Edna Mode’s costumes will steal the spotlight when Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles take “A Disneyland Adventure” through a winterland transposition of the theme park’s attractions. Reasons to attend? This Adventure will be cheaper than taking the kids to the actual theme park, and makes for a pretty cute date night. Hey, even if you’re single, an evening with Mickey and Minnie beats stuffing yourself with a carton of ice cream and sulking over a box of tissues.
