Cedric Gervais and Friends at Mynt

Most local clubgoers are already plenty familiar with Cedric Gervais, the French wunderkind DJ who worked his way up to practically owning the terrace at Space.

After racking up a string of remix credits that includes tracks by Lenny Kravitz, Duran Duran, Dirty Vegas, and Chocolate Puma, all that remained was to put one of his own hits on the map. In October he released his debut LP, Experiment, on Ultra Records. If you haven't heard the album yet, it contains a serious contender in "Spirit in My Life," an utterly gorgeous, in-your-face shot of dance-electro.

As for the "and friends" part, Second Sun is also on the docket for Mynt this Sunday. That's a major deal in itself, as this duo comprising performers Antoine and Adam has garnered breathless praise from the biggest dance music magazines in the world, including Remix, URB, and BPM. No simple DJ act, their vocals are performed live, without a net. You can expect to hear their collaboration with Gervais — a sped-up remix of "Another One Bites the Dust," complete with bloops and a skippy beat — at some point during the night. The track was a showstopper at least year's Winter Music Conference.

And that ain't all, folks, not by a long shot: Seamus Haji's also slated for this show. Like Gervais, Haji began his DJing journey early in life, spinning early house, soul, and hip-hop tunes in London from the time he was sixteen years old. More than a decade has passed since then, and he's written scads of original material; started his own label, Honcho Records; and lit up the airwaves with his own radio show.

The other acts scheduled to appear are (deep breath) Lee Kalt, Granite & Phunk, Patrick M., Kriss Salas, Tusso, Manny Suarez, Mike House, Mao Molano, KreamDip, Maurizio Ruggiero, Danyelino, and Bruno.
