Does one ever need an excuse to fill up on food and wine? Perhaps not, but if you require one, the twelfth annual Miami Food and Wine Festival is the perfect route to guilt-free gluttony. This year’s fest offers three days of overindulgence hosted by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. All events benefit the United Way and Camillus House.

The event kicks off tonight with the Taste & Toast event at Merrick Park. VIPs and high-class winos can try out fine wines for $150 at 6:00, or you can arrive an hour later and get your drink on for half that price. Friday at 6:30 p.m. is the Food, Friends, and Fun Interactive Dinner (that means you cook!) with Samuelsson at the Intercontinental Hotel. Tickets cost $250 per person, and the event includes a silent auction. The big event takes place on Saturday March 24: the Bubbles, Bids & Bites Auction and Luncheon beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Intercontinental. It costs $500 and includes a champagne reception.
