Art on a Different Key

Take home some treasure

Whether you’ve been trolling tirelessly for that brilliantly feathered gourd mask to set off a drab living room wall, or for a one-of-a-kind turquoise and lapis encrusted silver bracelet for that someone who rings your bell, this year’s Key Biscayne Art Festival promises both novice and seasoned collectors a chance to take that rare treasure home. From Ben Foster’s pedestal-scale bronzes of fly fishermen, to Lynne Libby’s lush pastels, to Dave Rizzo’s enigmatic sculptures of dancers, the event is showcasing a trove of unique art in every conceivable medium, from traditional favorites to the funkiest styles.

Now in its 43rd edition, the balmy outdoor bazaar offers everything from selections that won’t dent the wallet at $20 a pop, to others in the bank-breaking $20,000 ballpark. It also features a smorgasbord of delectable treats, live entertainment, and a fun-filled tent with interactive activities so the tykes can get their creative mojo on.
March 17-18, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
