Oscar Wilde once said, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” And since your artistic abilities are nonexistent (besides drawing a bath and “painting a picture” with your long-winded descriptions), you gotta find a way to lose and find yourself. Try Handmade. Opening tonight, this showcase of crafts and design in fiber, glass, clay, wood, enamels, and other media you wouldn’t dare attempt. Stick to the toenail painting, hon.

Handmade is a juried exhibition presented by Florida Craftsmen in collaboration with the New World School of the Arts and other major art guilds in the area. It runs through March 1, and opens with a reception tonight.
