Since your baby left you, you’ve found a new place to dwell, but your heart is still residing comfortably in the doldrums. The perfect music for this moment is a playlist of tunes set to the melody of dejection and despair, better known as the blues. At the first annual Miami Blues Festival, melancholy will be at a maximum, with tunes about rocky relationships and hard living. Performances from Bobby “Blue” Bland, Marvin Sease, Mel Walters, Shirley Brown and others will have you suffering your much-sought-after fit of the blue devils, and these musical legends will also have you wondering why being miserable had never ever felt or sounded this good.
