A year ago the New York Dolls performed at Art Loves Music, the free concert on the sand that's part of the official opening-night festivities for Art Basel Miami Beach. They must have liked it here, because this year they're back. Sort of.

Two members of the pioneering American glam band will be in town for a pair of events this weekend: guitarist Sylvain Sylvain, an original bandmate; and Sam Yaffa, formerly of Hanoi Rocks, now a Doll.

The duo will be MCing and DJing Friday at Roc Bar in Miami Beach and then spinning records alongside CNTRL, Par, the 411 DJs, and others Saturday at tiny PS 14. A show originally scheduled for Churchill's has been canceled. Arielle Castillo
