Primping for a Purpose

The holidays are practically upon us, and everyone’s party schedules are rapidly filling up. ´Tis the season to look gorgeous, and there’s no better place to get your glamour on than at the M•A•C Annual Shopping Extravaganza. Now in its third year, the fundraising event will benefit Suited for Success and the M•A•C AIDS fund. This is no typical networking soiree, however. Maps will be distributed at the M•A•C store beginning at 6:00 p.m., leading visitors on a fabulous treasure hunt along Collins Avenue between Fifth and Seventh streets to stores including Ralph Lauren and Urban Outfitters. And, yes, mini makeup demonstrations and amazing gift bags are involved, along with other decadent indulgences. “It’s a really good networking event that combines champagne, chocolate, and shopping – a woman’s favorite things! And it supports some great charities. What better way to get ready for the holidays?” asks the event’s representative, Lauren Lampa. Good question.
