We like freebies. And we like being outside once the humidity and temperature finally drop. So it’s the right time for Surfside’s Jazz on the Beach, a free concert presented by the Town of Surfside Tourist Bureau and KCC productions. Today you can relax to the sounds of the surf and renowned saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis; percussionist Sammy Figueroa and His Latin Jazz Explosion; Brazilian female vocalist Rose Max; and Russian pianist Dmitriy Klevenskiy.

“The huge success of our Shakespeare on the Beach event in August indicates that Surfside’s location is ideal as a venue for outdoor cultural and musical events for residents and visitors,” says Barbara McLaughlin, executive director of the Surfside Tourist Bureau. If all that jazz makes you hungry, there will also be a food court offering specialties from local restaurants including CafĂ© Ragazzi, Bianca’s Gourmet CafĂ©, Harbour Pita, and many more. Grab your blanket and head to the beach at 95th Street from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Call 305-864-0722, or visit www.townofsurfsidefl.gov.
