The jazz hands. The sequined costumes. The flags and poorly choreographed, unsynchronized leaps that detract from the main event. Have you ever wondered where those enthusiastic halftime performers come from? They’re found at Boston Market, silly. If you are between the ages of twelve and twenty, you can audition for the 2007 Orange Bowl Halftime show at today’s Boston Market Chance to Dance. You’ll need to bring your own music and perform a choreographed or freestyle routine. Registration is at 11:30 a.m., and auditions begin at noon at Boston Market, 8070 NW 36th St., Doral. There is no fee to audition, but those selected to perform will need to pay a $90 participant’s fee to cover the cost of costumes, meals, and transportation. Advance registration is required. Call 305-341-4700, or visit www.orangebowl.org.

And speaking of football: Those stinkin’ Dolphins will be hosting Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers today, and here’s to hoping Joey Harrington can tune out Coach Saban’s yelling long enough to throw some serious yards and not get sacked 21 times. (Sorry, Daunte.) Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. at Dolphin Stadium. Tickets start at $29. Call 1-888-FINS-TIX, or visit www.miamidolphins.com.
