Hurricanes, weddings, three-day weekends. People will use just about any excuse to get drunk. But thanks to the CHARLEE Benefit Tapping Party, Titanic Brewery and Restaurant is giving everyone a good reason to drink up. CHARLEE (Children Have All Rights: Legal, Educational, Emotional) is a nonprofit organization that helps severely abused and neglected Miami-Dade children with therapeutic, residential, and adoption services. With more than 1000 children in the agency's care, CHARLEE needs all the support it can get. A new beer was created by the brewmasters at Titanic to help benefit the program. Tonight one dollar for every beer purchased from this batch will be donated to CHARLEE. Beginning at 6:00, enjoy the new honey-blond ale (dubbed Charlee and the Beer Factory) while helping a greater cause. Call 305-667-2537, or visit www.charleeprogram.org.
