It has been brought to our attention that men really don’t know what women want, so we are going to take a few moments to clarify things. We want you to open doors for us, we like to get flowers (all kinds -- tulips, lilies, sunflowers -- but skip the carnations), we adore surprises, and we love things that sparkle (you know, like, jewelry). Yes, we are still dreaming of that emerald-cut diamond set in platinum with enough carats to keep even the biggest bunny satisfied, but we’ll take anything, for now. This weekend you can find deep discounts on a menagerie of gems at the International Gem and Jewelry Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Exotic gemstones, beads, estate jewelry, unique settings, and, of course, diamonds await you. Show hours are noon to 6:00 p.m. today, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free today, seven dollars Saturday and Sunday. Visit www.intergem.net.
