What’s a Blog?

Which of the following does not belong: digital video, Final Cut Pro, solitaire, or DVD? How about Minesweeper, journal, communication, or blog? If you missed the boat on both of these, do not panic -- help is here. (By the way, the answers are solitaire and Minesweeper for those of you whose tech IQ is really low.) Today the Miami Beach Public Library is hosting the Digital Moving Image workshop. Learn how to shoot and edit moving (and still) images in digital video, or begin boosting your IQ and call it DV. You will also be able to experiment with simple animation techniques and use software such as iMovie, Adobe Image Ready, and Final Cut Pro. Now if you got the second grouping wrong, next Saturday’s Multimedia Online workshop is for you. Create and publish an online blog with text and imagery. Spread your message to the world, but please make sure it is interesting and not about how your dog’s cough sounded today. Each workshop runs from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and costs $150.
