Puck That!

Escape the serpent’s tongue in the park

No, we will not begin this story with “To be or not to be.” Nope, not a chance. Besides the obvious cliché, it has absolutely nothing to do with the play we are about to mention. The only reason we would open with it is because we have never actually read the play we are about to mention, which is Bill Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, so therefore we could not come up with anything witty to open with. Maybe “making the beast with two backs”? Or “if it will feed nothing else, it will feed my revenge”? No, no, still off track. But one thing we do know is it’s a lot easier to take in a Shakespeare play, with all that “funny English” (for those of you who walked out of The Merchant of Venice starring Al Pacino -- yeah, you know who you are), by seeing it performed live. And now you can at Peacock Park tonight through Saturday at 8:00. So grab some food, friends, wenches, and cauldrons and head over to this free event. Call 305-642-1271.
