What moves you? According to Scion, the answer is art workshops and DJ sets at a converted gallery space in South Beach. Hosted by Scion and Neverstop, What Moves You Miami is a three-week-long series of workshops and entertainment focused on teaching aspiring artists how to develop their art. The movement begins with a three-and-a-half-hour workshop titled "DIY Band or Label," which will concentrate on teaching interested musical minds about concert bookings, album distribution, and other important elements of the record industry. Other events include workshops for customizing cars and sneakers, stencil-making, digital music production, and VJing. The teachers include local Miami talent like sticker, stencil, and airbrush artist Vinnie Ray; Dim Mak record-label founder Steve Aoki; and artists Maya Hayuk and Ro Starr. There will also be performances from bands and DJs like the Juan Maclean, DJ Craze, MayDay, DJ Low Budget of Hollertronix, DJ Swamp, Black Chiney, DJ Language, and Pony Up.
