Do you have a boat? Well, you would be a lot cooler if you did. Pick one up this weekend at the thirteenth annual South Florida Boat Show. More than 20,000 visitors will shop for their dream boat from among hundreds of beautiful, new powerboats (up to 40 feet) priced from less than $5000 to more than $250,000. High-performance models, offshore fisherman, center consoles, cuddy cabins, walkarounds, inflatables, and more will be on display from manufacturers such as Bayliner, Concept, Contender, Donzi, Doral, Mako, Proline, Sea Vee, Wellcraft, and many others. The 250,000-square-foot event will also feature the latest in personal watercraft, engines, and nautical accessories, including fishing tackle, dive gear, and navigational electronics. Doesn’t it make you hot? Cool your ski jets at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach. Show hours are Friday 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Monday 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Admission is eight dollars, four bucks for kids.
