Got culture? Not the stuff found in yogurt, but exposure to stuff beyond a wrist-flick of the remote control. Don’t know ballet from bologna? The Culture Shock Mobile has you covered. Through June 8 the big red book-mobile-like vehicle will be cruisin’ around town, doling out free entertainment, cultural event information, and giveaways to students from ages 14 to 22. Presented by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Culture Shock Miami works like this: Hand over five dollars and choose from more than 40 performances and exhibitions, including Art Central’s “Tango en Tres x 4,” Ballet Gamonet Maximum Dance at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, Anacoana: The Queen of Hispaniola at the Jackie Gleason Theater, and Summer Shorts from City Theatre. Rather cut to the chase? (And not chase the bus?) Buy tickets at www.ticketmaster.com or check bus schedules and buy tickets at www.cultureshockmiami.com. And whippersnappers: Remember to bring your real ID instead of the fake-out your cousin Josh made.
