For ten years the Miami Children’s Hospital’s Radio Lollipop program has made hospital stays for young people a little less scary and a little more fun. Majic 102.7 (WMXJ-FM) has brought together new benefactors who will step in and help raise money to keep the show on the air. Tonight at 8:00 at the Miami Improv, THEY improv and Laughing Gas will present an improvisational comedy benefit along with Majic’s on-air personality Joe Johnson. The festivities will also include a silent auction to help raise money for the organization. “Radio Lollipop has provided humor and enjoyment for audiences of children at the hospital that truly need to be entertained the most,” says THEY director Todd Rice. Tickets cost ten dollars (plus tax), and there is a two-drink minimum for this eighteen-and-over show. Call 305-441-8200, or visit www.miamiimprov.com.
