Bush-Bashing

Come for a sizzling debate

When Michael Moore took direct aim at good ol’ George W. with his incendiary documentary Fahrenheit 9/11, he hoped it might appeal to disenfranchised voters who would show their support at the polls and bring an end to Bush’s presidency. But despite the footage of dead soldiers, grieving mothers, and a commander in chief with a penchant for inappropriate remarks and paralyzing inaction at times of crisis, America remains politically polarized and Dubya continues to occupy the White House. Although the elections have passed, Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11 still makes for eminently debatable fodder. See this inflammatory documentary and let your voice be heard at today’s meeting of the Classic/Foreign Film Discussion Group. Join event organizer Edward J. Reninger today at noon at Building 1, Room 155, on the Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus. Admission is $3.50. Call 954-458-5825 for reservations.
