The term hump day takes on a new meaning with the emergence of Vibrator, an aptly named weekly party at PS 14. According to the buzz surrounding this unpretentious Wednesday-night bash, there’s no cover, no lines, no velvet ropes, no dress code, no overpriced drinks, and best of all, no “lovely lady lumps” lyrics polluting your ears. Vibrator doesn’t restrict itself to the indie night label, but its music selection is decidedly alternative. Everything from funk to punk to jazz keeps anti-SoBe revelers happy. The monthly art shows by local artists and two for one drinks (till midnight) don’t hurt either. The pleasure providers also host an occasional theme night. Tonight Vibrator is brewing up a tribute to the South Florida rave scene (circa late Nineties) in conjunction with a Prodigy CD-release party.
