You have been on only two dates with your new special friend and now you are faced with the sappy holiday for lovers. Forgo the plush pink bears, overpriced roses, and ulcer inducing dinner by candlelight in favor of a relaxing outdoor stroll through a field of flowers. During the Valentine’s Weekend Wildflower Walk at Everglades National Park, naturalists from Castellow Hammock will take you on a leisurely tour of Long Pine Key as they point out the local flora blooming in the prairies and hammocks. Pack a picnic lunch and bring a camera to document your romantic day. Tiptoe through the pine lilies today from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Admission is $15 plus the park entrance fee ($10 per vehicle). Registration is required. Call 305-242-7688, or visit www.nps.gov/ever/.
